The System Engineer III (SE III) will have experience with Power BI, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 tools to streamline business processes, improve data visibility, and enhance collaboration. The SE III will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into technical solutions, and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting. This role will also involve the development of data tracking to monitor project and organizational impact, including tracking funding and impacts based on project schedule, overtime, leave, and new requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Workflow Automation: Design, develop, and implement automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline repetitive tasks such as approvals, reminders, report generation, and notifications. Specific examples include automating overtime requests and time-off requests.
  • Microsoft 365 Integration: Integrate various Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, Power BI, etc.) to create seamless information flows and collaborative solutions.
  • SharePoint Development: Design, develop, and maintain SharePoint sites, lists, and libraries to support business processes. A one stop shop knowledge base that is organized logically, with clear navigation, broken out by functional areas.
  • Power BI Reporting: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize data and provide actionable insights.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain and troubleshoot existing automation scripts and flows, ensuring their stability and optimal performance.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with project leads to gather and document business requirements for new automation projects and enhancements.
  • Solution Design: Translate business requirements into technical designs, considering scalability and maintainability.
  • Testing and Documentation: Thoroughly test developed solutions and create comprehensive documentation for end-users and support personnel.
  • Data Tracking and Reporting: Track funding and impacts based on project schedule, overtime, leave, new requirements, etc. and reporting on this data.
  • Stay Current: Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft 365 features, updates, and best practices.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on new and existing Microsoft 365 solutions.

REQUIRED SKILLS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
  • 3-5 years of experience as a developer, preferably in a Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or STEM field.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 platform and its capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to immediately contribute to the organization's security posture with limited supervision or training.
Travel Required: 10%

This position is required to have and maintain a Secret US DoD security clearance.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Technical Skills:
  • Expert Knowledge of Power Automate: Deep understanding of Power Automate connectors, actions, triggers, expressions, and best practices for building robust and scalable workflows.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint: Experience designing, developing, and administering SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, and workflows. Understanding of SharePoint Online administration.
  • Power BI Development Skills: Ability to create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and data visualization techniques.
  • Microsoft Graph API Knowledge: Familiarity with using the Microsoft Graph API to access and manipulate data within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Power Apps Experience: Experience developing and customizing Power Apps (Canvas and/or Model-driven) to create custom business applications.
  • Scripting Skills (Preferred): Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automating tasks within the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • JSON and REST API Understanding: Ability to work with JSON data and interact with REST APIs.
  • Understanding of Data Tracking Methodologies: Ability to track projects, finances and relevant KPIs to assess organizational impact.
Soft Skills:
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex business problems and develop effective technical solutions.
  • Communication Skills (Written and Verbal): Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Time Management and Prioritization: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Documentation Skills: Ability to create clear and concise technical documentation for end-users and support personnel.
  • Customer Service Orientation: A strong customer service orientation with a focus on providing excellent support to end-users.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all work.
  • Ability to Learn: Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost tracking and impact assessment.


REMARKS
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of technical and management personnel.

Compensation: $53 - $63 an hour.
Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.
