Duties and Responsibilities
The duties of the position will include, but are not limited to:
  • Mange the Model Base Product Support (MBPS) system within a defense acquisition program.
  • Perform configuration management duties associated with maintaining and controlling all hardware inventory, documentation, and product releases.
  • Assist the facilitation and management of the Configuration Control Board.
  • Conduct change management and product configuration management.
  • Recommend improvements to existing processes.
  • Provide recommendations to update Change Management and Product Configuration Management guidance.
Required Skills/Years of Experience
Education: bachelor’s degree.
The candidate must have proficient knowledge in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 
Requires 5 years of experience in the field of configuration management of IT hardware components, preferably within DOD, and the ability to multitask and re-prioritize based on deadline requirements.

This position is required to have and maintain a Secret US DoD security clearance.

PREFERRED SKILLS
Hardware configuration management experience in a Defense Acquisition Program
Proficiency in Model Base Product Support (MBPS) with Configuration Status Accounting (CSA)
Ability to create work file change notices and create and delete records within MBPS. 
Experience with Configuration Management Professional (CMPRO) and Department of the Navy (DoN) Application and Database Management System (DADMS) experience
