DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst reviews and evaluates software and documentation products, components, and systems to ensure adherence to company and customer quality standards. Writes and updates material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures and systems installation, operations, and maintenance. Researches and compiles technical data for use in various operation and maintenance manuals, test plans and reports, training materials, installation guides, and other technical documentation. Participates in establishing quality standards for life cycle, documentation, development methods, testing, and maintenance. Documents and analyzes test results and makes recommendations to improve overall quality. Reviews published materials and makes recommendations for revisions or changes in scope, format, and content. May provide quality-related training. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Participates in special projects as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Work Location: San Diego, CA
This position is required to have and maintain a Secret US DoD security clearance.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Quality Management System (QMS) experience that is compatible with ISO 9001:2008.
REMARKS
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of technical and management personnel.
Compensation: $25.64 - $34.05 an hour.
Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
- 2-5 years of quality assurance experience.
- 2-5 years of technical writing experience.
- Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in quality assurance and software engineering.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills.
- Understanding of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Ability to review, test, and evaluate the work of others.
- Proficiency in the use of basic office-related software applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
