DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Centurum Information Technology is seeking a highly motivated Director of Strategic Programs to join our team in San Diego, CA.  Work will be performed primarily in San Diego, CA., but will not be limited geographically.

The Director of Strategic Programs will be a professional who deeply understands the needs of the military customer, especially the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.  They will work closely with Centurum Business Development (BD) professionals, sharing ideas and best practices.  They will be responsible for building new business relationships and strengthening existing relationships with the goal of developing and winning new business for the company. They will play a hands-on role in developing business opportunities through their entire life cycle and work closely with the proposal team. The Director of Strategic Programs will build relationships with employees, peers, customers, and teaming partners. 

The following are the primary duties and responsibilities for the Director of Strategic Programs:
- Cultivate and develop customer relationships, drive new business opportunities and teaming and partnership arrangements, oversee negotiation activities, and work closely with the Corporate Proposal Development Team to ensure deliverables and deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with the Centurum BD team and share information and ideas to grow the business and refine best practices.
- Work closely with Senior Management to maintain open communications across the corporation by providing regular updates on activities and issues.
- Embrace and promote the Centurum culture; be professional, direct, and decisive; and foster a culture that values leaders and promotes success and professional visibility.
- Participate in weekly pipeline review discussions with Senior Management and the BD team.
- Prepare and review technical and cost proposals.
- Manage and be responsible for the successful completion of all tasks for a C4ISR or Combat Systems program, which includes engineering and technical work, financial management, and business development activities.
- Direct program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serve as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems.
- Assure the quality of program products, services, and deliverables, and participate in reviews, audits, and site visits.
- Perform program financial management services, including financial analysis, budget and cost quote preparation, cost management, and reconciliation.
- Develop, review, and approve plans, schedules, consulting agreements, and other program documents.
- Prepare and provide various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested.
- Ensure compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
- Have a track record of hands-on BD and/or program management success.
- Must be capable of managing IDIQ contracts and winning Task Orders.
- Prior experience with the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and/or other relevant military or Government experience is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to develop a successful and strategic BD plan, with the ability to learn from others to enhance BD and capture skills.
- Current experience and relationships within the DoD C5ISR sector, NAVWAR, PEO C4I, NIWC Pacific and Atlantic, NAVSEA, and U.S. Naval Shipyards strongly preferred.
- Must be based in the greater San Diego area, have a network of relevant contacts in the local defense community, and have the ability to build relevant contacts and develop opportunities.
- Ability and willingness to achieve a high level security clearance.
- Excellent communication skills and prior BD and PM leadership skills preferred.
- Aligned with Centurum culture and mission.


Education: Bachelor’s Degree 
Travel Required: 10%
Work Location: San Diego, CA

This position is required to have and maintain a Secret US DoD security clearance.
This is a Part-Time position.


PREFERRED SKILLS
Advanced technical or MBA degree is a strong plus; PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA Certifications in Program Management are desired.

REMARKS
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of company and Government technical, management, and contracts personnel.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Compensation: $120K – $180K Annually
Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.
