Centurum is seeking a motivated and technically capable Electrical Engineering Student Intern to support our CBSP engineering team on a part-time basis. This position is designed for a senior-level undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year university.
The intern will gain practical engineering experience while supporting ongoing technical projects, engineering analysis, documentation, testing, and other engineering activities under the guidance of experienced engineers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist engineers with engineering analysis, design, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Support development and maintenance of engineering documentation.
  • Assist with laboratory testing and collection of engineering data.
  • Review technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations and data analysis.
  • Support engineering projects and assigned technical tasks.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide status updates on assigned work.
  • Perform other engineering-related duties as assigned.
     
REQUIRED SKILLS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
  • Currently enrolled as a senior undergraduate student pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
  • Must be attending an accredited four-year university.
  • Expected to graduate with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering within approximately one year.
  • Strong academic background in electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Basic understanding of electrical/electronic circuits, systems, and engineering principles.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.
  • Must be able to work part-time during the academic year.

Education: Senior-level undergraduate student pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering
Work Location: San Diego, CA

This position is required to have and maintain a Secret US DoD security clearance.

PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Experience with engineering design, testing, troubleshooting, or laboratory activities.
  • Familiarity with CAD or electrical engineering design tools.
  • Experience with circuit analysis, embedded systems, RF/electronics, or communications systems.
  • Previous internship, project, laboratory, or hands-on engineering experience.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports and engineering documentation.

REMARKS
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of Government and Contractor technical and management personnel.


Compensation: $20 - $30 an hour.
Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.
