DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Electronics Technician Maintenance II applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from a supervisor or higher-level technician.
The ideal candidate will have experience performing overhauls and repairs on any of the following shipboard electronics systems: High Frequency (HF), Radio Frequency (RF), High Frequency Radio Group (HFRG), Digital Modular Radio (DMR), Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT), Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP), Tactical Air Navigation System (TACAN), Electronic Support Measures (ESM), or Naval Shipboard Antenna Systems.
REQUIRED SKILLS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following core technical capabilities and system-specific experience:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Travel Required: 25%
Work Location: San Diego, CA
This position is required to have and maintain a Secret US DoD security clearance.

Compensation: $44 - $52 an hour.
Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.

- Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Systems: Direct experience with the Satellite Terminal (Transportable) non-geostationary (STtNG) increment 1, as well as the Commercial Broadband Satellite Program (CBSP) Unit Level Variant (ULV) and Force Level Variant (FLV).
- Test and Diagnostic Equipment: Proficiency in the setup and operation of a Spectrum Analyzer for signal validation and troubleshooting, and a Multimeter for circuit diagnostics and component testing.
- Networking: Practical experience in network administration and troubleshooting within an operational environment.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

- Fleet Support and Testing: Demonstrated experience performing shipboard testing, specifically including the execution of System Operational Verification Tests (SOVT).
- Navy Modernization: Proven experience supporting Navy modernization initiatives, installation cycles, and system upgrades for C4I systems.
- Networking and Virtualization: Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining Virtual Cisco Routers.
- Industry Certifications: Possession of current CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications.
