DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assures consistent quality of production, repair and restoration by developing and enforcing good industry practices, Depot standard operating procedures (SOP), and appropriate NIWC policies and procedures. Validates processes; provides documentation; and manages staff. Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; and implementing change. Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories. Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures. Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods. Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations. Continues to develop working knowledge of all operating standards, practices, and procedures, including safety procedures. Supervises quality assurance inspectors, ensures priorities, schedule, and quality assurance is maintained. Provides OJT and instruction as necessary.
REQUIRED SKILLS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Five (5) years’ Quality Assurance experience in restoration/repair depot with emphasis on managing quality management systems (ISO9001:2008 or equivalent).
Trained in Calibration Laboratory Auditing techniques/practices (e.g. attending ISO 17025 Lead Assessor training)
Be familiar with the Calibration Laboratory QMS
Be familiar with METBENCH and METBENCH Calibration Management System (MCMS)
Requires Basic Electrical and Electronics formal education.
Requires Formal Calibration Education: Any of these classifications:
Navy NEC: 6673, 6718, I25A, I31A, 719B, 95AA, 1589, 729A, 4675, 765A.
Marine MOS Codes: 2871, 2874, 6492. Army MOS: 35H, 94H.
Air Force AFSCs: 2P031, 2P051.
American Society for Quality Certified Calibration Technician (ASQ-CCT).
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

This position is required to have and maintain a Secret US DoD security clearance.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Quality Management System (QMS) experience that is compatible with ISO 9001:2008.
Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Maturity Level 2/3 is a plus.

Compensation: $35 - $62 an hour / 73K to $129K per year
Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.
